Fellow foodie, Linda Lam

Who am I?

My name is Linda Lam. I like to write, but not really write, more like type. I can barely hold a pen correctly anymore. I can, however, hold chopsticks, spoons, forks, knives and sporks just fine! I love eating and food, in general. I’m not sure when my love for food started because I remember absolutely hating food as a young girl. I grew up in a Vietnamese household and had homemade pho everyday. Just kidding, that’s not all Vietnamese people eat. My family and I actually only eat pho when we go out to eat. We cook a lot of rice and vegetables at home. I never learned how to cook while I was living at home, so when I got to college, I didn’t know how to feed myself. I knew I was very good at following directions so I started looking for recipes online to learn to cook. I’m still a terrible cook, but I love doing it! I’m hoping maybe someday I’ll get better. For now, I like to go out to eat. It comes in handy, especially when I have a cooking failure, which is often. My idea of a good time is getting a few friends together and consuming delicious food and drinks.

I love the Food Network and Travel Channel. If you ever catch me talking your ears off, turn on one of those channels and you won’t even know I’m there. I am currently studying public relations and advertising at the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! I graduate in 2012. I hope to one day land a career in the food and entertainment industry; maybe even have my own travel show where I go to different places and try awesome food! I love food and entertainment because those two things together make people happy, and I like happy people! (See About the Blog page for more details on the blog.)
